Research interests: regional development models, institutions and factors of socio-economic development of unrecognized republics, assessment of regional consequences of climate change, features and consequences of the implementation of neoliberal policies in Russia.
Main contribution: are substantiated the patterns of adaptation of regional systems, the peculiarities of the behavior of the population in the context of dynamic changes caused by the impact on them of a wide range of social, economic and environmental exogenous and endogenous factors, including the structural policy implemented by the state.
Honorary titles and awards: Medal of the Federal Agency for State Reserves (2008); Certificate of Honor of the Legislative Assembly of the Sverdlovsk Region (2011); «Star of Peace» of the Mongolia-Russia Friendship Society (2012); «For personal contribution to the development of friendly and cooperative relations», by Decree of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia (2021).
