In 1999 he graduated with honors from the Orenburg State University with a degree in Information Systems in Economics. In 2000 he graduated from the correspondence department of the Orenburg State University with a degree in Finance and Credit. In 2003 he defended his thesis in the specialty 08.00.05 Economics and management of the national economy.
Since 2002, he worked at the Orenburg branch of the Institute of Economics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences as a researcher, in 2005 he became the deputy director of this branch.
From 2007 to 2010 he studied and successfully completed full-time doctoral studies at the Institute of Economics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Since 2009 — Head of the Department of Regional Competitiveness and Investment Development of the Research Institute for Economic Development and New Competences of OSU, and also part-time — Associate Professor of the Department of Personnel Management, Service and Tourism. In 2016 — Head of the Department of Personnel Management, Service and Tourism.
From 2016 to the present, he has been working as the head of the Department of Management, as well as the director of the Research Institute of Regional Economics.
Successfully managed the grant of the President of the Russian Federation for state support of young Russian scientists, grants from the Russian Humanitarian Foundation and other foundations. He was the leader and responsible executor for a number of works commissioned by the government of the Orenburg region.
Korabeinikov I.N. has awards from the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Orenburg Region, the Governor and Government of the Orenburg Region, the Orenburg State University, the Free Economic Society, etc.
The number of published scientific papers is more than 400, of which there are more than 10 monographs, 15 sections in collective monographs in the field of regional economics, economics of industries and complexes, innovations, in addition, HAC — more than 130, Scopus — 5.
