Abstract. The authors, noting the peculiarities of modern man-made and unpredictable civilization in its consequences, turn to some points of view on utopia, which has become widespread in the world and, in particular, in Latin America. The authors follow the socio-philosophical methodology of mastering the innovative social space, applying an anthroposociological approach, which predetermines close interconnections in the system of man-society-nature and allows taking into account the action of sensory and intellectual intuition, emotional and rational in the consciousness, utopically tuned to the perfect way of life of man in new socio-political conditions. The phenomenological approach is used, addressed to existential values and meanings. The purpose of the article was the desire to present two points of view of Latin American thinkers on utopia, on the tendency to specific utopian thinking as the need for imaginative human consciousness to see the possibilities of interhuman relations in a sufficiently decent, well-ordered world. The article presents the statements of Latin American figures, specialists in utopia as a form of specific thinking, which through fantasy represents the ideal, perfect world order in society. The article highlights the critical and at the same time positive assessments of utopia and dystopia, their involvement in the ideas of modern world development, which allows us to assert the productivity of critical and predictive philosophical thought. In the introduction, the authors give an idea of utopia and dystopia in Russian philosophy and Latin American thought. In the main part, devoted to a new approach to constructing utopia in Latin America based on interhuman relations, two points of view on the utopia of Fernando Ainsa and Yohanka Leon del Rio are considered. It is noted that the Uruguayan utopia researcher F. Ainsa offers an updated restoration of utopian thinking, outlined in the work «Reconstruction of Utopia». In this regard, he raises three questions: the modern understanding of utopia, its social function, and the idea of creating utopias with a focus on genuine humanism. As for the other point of view presented by the Cuban philosopher J. Leon del Rio, here attention is drawn to the rational-critical approach to utopia, which, in principle, impresses her as a search for the ideal of social and human existence. At the same time, she critically evaluates the moral state of the existing capitalist system, and following Marxist theory, raises the problem of dystopia. The conclusions state that in some Latin American philosophical views on the meaning of the image of utopia and dystopia, there is a connection between different models in the productive movement of philosophical thought in the context of a new socio-political reality, advocating for humanism, sovereignty, and human resilience. The author’s thought goes further. Utopia and dystopia in the latest phantasmagoria symbolically express the tendency of inner striving for a better quality of life in conditions of new interpersonal relations, striving for harmonious order in a multipolar world based on individual, national and transnational human dignity.

Key words: utopia, dystopia, social philosophy, Latin American philosophical reflection, interpersonal relations, anthroposociological approach, and human dignity.
