Abstract. Purpose. The research objective consists in increase in efficiency of regular passenger automobile traffic in the city of Orenburg on the basis of assessment of passenger traffics with use of the theory of fractality.

Relevance of probe. The relevance of probe is defined by insufficiency of the available principles and methods for formation of optimum routes of regular passenger automobile traffic and need of search of the new ways allowing to systematize route and transport network of the city.

Probe methods. Methods of probe are based on the theory of transport processes, mathematical statistics and the fractal theory. As the key indicator used for application of the fractal analysis it is accepted пассажирообмен on stopping points of the city.

Main results. The main results demonstrate that application of the fractal analysis will allow to optimize route and transport network of the city of Orenburg, to reveal and eliminate defects of route and transport network. Results can be applied to improvement of the available routes of regular passenger automobile traffic of the city of Orenburg and when forming new routes for the purpose of assessment of their efficiency and the importance.

Keywords: Fractal analysis, fractal, regular passenger automobile traffic, route and transport network, passenger traffics.
