THE PHENOMENON OF VISUAL COMMUNICATION IN THE MODERN INTERNET ENVIRONMENT

Abstract. In the modern world, technogenic visual communication becomes an integral part of the life of society, the complexity of the technological basis of which has generated new forms of visual imagery. The relevance of the problem is due to the increasing role of the phenomenon of visuality in the formation of social and cultural foundations of modern social practices, including the use of innovative information and communication platforms of the Internet environment. Thanks to computer technologies, the mechanisms of creating visual images are changing, which affects the established forms of social communication and necessitates the study of new codes of visual images, changing processes of perception and understanding of visual forms of expression of social meanings. The subject of the research in the article is the forms of visuality in the Internet environment, the purpose is to identify the communicative specificity of visual technogenic forms and their functions in the Internet environment. It is argued that along with the inherent functions of social communication information, socialization, social integration of Internet communication due to the increasing share of visual communication and contains dysfunctional manifestations.
